Understand
Scripture

You own three study Bibles… make that six. You have a stack of books beside your bed that you swear you're going to read when life slows down.

You've listened to the podcasts, saved the reels, highlighted the verses, filled notebooks with sermon notes, and yet somehow, when someone asks what the book of Hebrews is about, your brain immediately files for bankruptcy.

You love Jesus. You love His Word, but if you're honest, there is still a gap between where you are and where you want to be. Not because you aren't capable. Not because God forgot to give you a "theology brain." But because nobody ever taught you how.

Is this you?

You Were Not Given the Holy Spirit So You Could Spend Your Entire Christian Life Feeling Intimidated by Leviticus.

The Bible was not written for scholars alone. It was written for the Church, for ordinary believers. This includes busy women. The ones who work jobs, make dinners, fold laundry, fight sin, and desperately want to know God.

The Academy exists because we believe women are capable of far more than they have often been told. Not because women need bigger platforms. Because women need deeper roots.

What Makes Us Different?

What Makes Us Different?

We are not raising women who need to be spoon-fed truth. We are raising women who know how to find it.

Many discipleship programs teach women what to think. The Academy teaches women how to study. We believe the Word of God was given to the Church, not merely to scholars. Our goal is not to make theology inaccessible. Our goal is to place the tools into your hands and teach you how to use them.

The Pillars

  • Scripture was never meant to be a collection of disconnected stories. Learn to read the Bible as one unified account of God's redemptive work, tracing its themes, covenants, and promises from Genesis to Revelation.

  • Theology is more than knowing what Christians believe. It's understanding why. Explore the grand story of Scripture through biblical theology, trace the Church's journey through history, and build a coherent framework for doctrine through systematic theology.

  • A confident faith is not afraid of hard questions. Through classical, evidential, and cultural apologetics, students learn to defend the Christian faith, engage a skeptical world, and proclaim the truth of the gospel with courage and clarity.

  • You do not need to become a Greek or Hebrew scholar to benefit from the original languages. Learn how to use trusted language tools, evaluate word studies responsibly, and uncover deeper insights from the biblical text without spending years in a seminary classroom.

  • Knowledge is not the finish line. Faithfulness is. Learn how to put theology into practice through evangelism, discipleship, teaching, and everyday ministry in the places God has already called you.

By the end of the Academy, you will…

NO. 1

… stop being intimidated by your Bible.

Leviticus won't scare you. The Minor Prophets won't confuse you. You'll know where books fit, why they matter, and how to approach difficult passages with confidence.

NO. 2

… know why you believe what you believe.

When someone asks about the Trinity, salvation, suffering, election, baptism, or the reliability of Scripture, you won't be scrambling for a podcast episode. You'll have convictions of your own.

NO. 3

… learn how to spot bad theology.

Not because we're training cynics. Because we're training discernment. You'll learn how to evaluate teachings, books, social media content, and popular trends through the lens of Scripture.

NO. 4

… stop living on borrowed convictions.

Your pastor's faith is wonderful. Your husband's faith is wonderful. Your favorite author's faith is wonderful. But eventually, every believer needs roots of her own.

NO. 5

… become dangerous to shallow Christianity.

The kind that survives on motivational quotes. The kind that treats feelings as authority. The kind that crumbles when life gets hard. You will learn to build your life on something sturdier.

NO. 6

… be prepared to disciple others.

Whether that means teaching a Bible study, mentoring a younger believer, serving in your church, raising children, serving your community, or encouraging a friend across a coffee table.

For the woman who has highlighted half her Bible and still feels like she's missing something.

The voice in your head has had a remarkable career. It has spent years convincing you that you aren't ready.

The problem is that the voice keeps moving the finish line. The Academy exists because we're tired of watching women wait for permission God has already given.

  • Study the Word.

  • Know the truth.

  • Share the gospel.

  • Make disciples.

The voice can come too if it wants. It just has to sit down and be quiet while Scripture is talking… and we meditate on it day and night. Is it worth the investment? We think so.

Meet Our Leader

Hi, I’m Megan!
_

When I first started studying Scripture, I assumed everyone else knew something I didn't. The truth is, most people were just as intimidated as I was. They just hid it better. I loved God's Word, but I constantly felt like I was standing at the edge of something deeper. I could see there was more beneath the surface, more connections, more beauty, more richness. I just didn't know how to get there. And even when I caught glimpses of that depth, I wasn't sure what to do with it.

What I needed wasn't another Bible study. I needed someone to hand me the tools and show me how to use them. The Academy exists because I believe God's Word is not reserved for scholars, pastors, or experts. It belongs to His people. Sometimes we simply need someone to teach us how to handle it well.

If you've ever opened your Bible and thought, "I know there's more here, but I don't know how to find it," then you are exactly who we built this for.

TESTIMONIALS

TESTIMONIALS

  • "Before the Academy, I didn't know how to dig into the word of God with confidence. I now am growing in my knowledge of the word. My relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit has never been this strong. I will continue to study and share what I have learned with every woman I can!!!!"

    - Krystal Hurst

  • The Bold Academy has been such a blessing. The lessons are incredibly rich and in-depth, yet they are presented in a way that is accessible, understandable, and attainable for believers at any stage of their faith journey. What I appreciate most is the heart behind the teaching. The focus is always on knowing God more deeply, understanding His Word faithfully, and equipping believers to confidently share the gospel with others. The instructors have a gift for making complex biblical truths practical and applicable to everyday life.

    - Chelsea Bentley

  • “Being a part of TBM Academy has been such a refresher for me, not only in getting in the word and studying it for myself, but also for the biblical community with other women with the same goals! I love that it’s simultaneously simple to go through while also challenging to go deeper. No matter their level of Bible knowledge, women will benefit so much from these courses!“

    - Emily Richardson

  • "The Bold Movement Academy has been the biggest component of my growth in my faith and knowledge of the bible. The in-depth study of scripture, understanding the meaning behind certain words, learning parallels throughout the bible, and of course, the lectures have been so important. The Academy truly helps in making women disciples of Christ so that we are equipped to go out confidently and boldly to help others solidify their faith and become bold as well. ”

    - Nicki Johnson

  • “The bold movement academy has made me more aware of the gospel. By sharing that Jesus Came! Jesus Died! Jesus Rose! Jesus Saved! It has given me the ability to share openly with others about my faith, as well as challenged me individually with my personal studying. It has highlighted my human frailty and the importance of surrendering my will to my father. This journey has put me running on my feet for the Lord, causing me to hate the things that He hates and love the things that He loves. Since attending the academy, I have been given the opportunity to facilitate the Prayerline and Bible study every other Tuesday and mentor young women on Mondays and Wednesdays. All glory goes to the Lord and His vessels that are being used at The Bold Movement Academy.”

    Miyyah Walker

  • “As as Bible college graduate, I didn’t think that this would be as helpful as it has been. The information is presented in a way that is easy to understand. Megan helps walk you through each question you have without making you feel like it was a silly one. But my favorite part is the community. The weekly checkins and fellowship are unrivaled. These women are so supportive and I know they have my back. They are serious prayer warriors and cheerleaders. This academy has brought me so many connections to people around the globe and has allowed me to get involved with the Bold Movement by coming on staff.”
