The last supper

THE Last SUPPER

The events and insights of Passion Week peaked on Thursday and Friday. Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead: They are crucial, second only to Sunday's resurrection (hopefully this was not a true spoiler alert, but if it was and you want to know what this means for us, please email us at info@theboldmovement.com). Due to the dense schedule of these two days, we will provide the readings alongside our B.O.L.D. Method study guide and invite you to engage with the text. We will also provide links to articles and books that provide background on the events of those two days.

The B.O.L.D. Method

B - Begin with Prayer and the Bible.

  • Read the passage out loud.

  • Read the passage in multiple translations (2–3).

  • Annotate the passage.

  • Outline or rewrite the passage in your own words.

O - On your own, wrestle with the text

  • Summarize the passage in one sentence.

  • What does this passage have to do with the Bible's main themes of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration?

  • Now that we know what this is saying, what is the passage not saying?

L - Learn More

Look up information in extra-biblical resources and tools.

D - Do something with what you've learned

  • Is this passage informing you of something or calling you to do something?

  • Is the passage calling you to do something? If so, is it a faith action or a physical action?

  • What now?
